How to Manifest Confidence (8 things that work for me)
I’m a musician and artist who travels and blogs. But I’ve always felt like an imposter — for as long as I can remember. It became a normal part of my identity, like a source of self-deprecating humor.
But eventually, I realized the power of the stories we tell ourselves (even if we’re just ‘joking’).
So I learned how to manifest confidence. And it worked.
These are my top tips. Let’s get to it!

Manifesting Confidence 101
I stumbled into manifestation around two years ago. At first, I was skeptical (and slightly confused).
But something about it resonated.
It gave me a feeling of having control, like I was back in the driver’s seat. So naturally, I explored the concepts and started testing the methods.
I cultivated a new manifestation mindset and started getting results:
A higher sense of self and present moment awareness
More clarity about what I want and why
Greater perception of opportunities around me
Reduced stress and less creative anxiety
More confidence
Suffice to say, I won’t be stopping anytime soon.
What Is Manifestation?
Manifestation is the act of visualizing and attracting some future potential into current reality.
And I think we all manifest, all the time. Unfortunately, it tends to be for things we don’t actually want. We tend to focus our thoughts and energy on the things we seek to avoid — like the stresses and worries of day-to-day life.
Of course, many things are outside of our control, but when negative stuff stays top of mind for a long time, it can turn into a sort of self-fulfilling prophecy.
For example, both the nocebo and placebo effect exist in equal ways.
Luckily, you can flip the script by starting to become more aware of negative thought patterns or beliefs.
What Is Confidence?
Confidence is self belief in what you’re doing and/or saying. And there are different levels and types of confidence too.
For example, creative confidence, social confidence and emotional confidence all have their own nuances.
So a solid first step in manifesting confidence is to choose which type of confidence you’d like to manifest (but more on this in tip #1).
How Does Manifestation Work?
When possible, I like to borrow from science to explain the mystical (like manifestation).
But of course, I’m no scientist and I’m sure I’m stretching concepts to suit my thesis here. But this still creates a foundation for belief.
And belief (that this stuff actually works) is a core piece of the manifestation puzzle.
So how does manifestation (for confidence) work?
Here’s my take:
Everything is connected and a part of a unified field of energy (quantum physics)
We all emit our own biofield of energy (the human energy field)
Our thoughts and emotions are frequencies of energy carrying information
This information can influence our internal and external reality (our biofield and the unified one)
You attract the external frequencies that match the internal frequencies you give out
Confidence is a self belief frequency that you can create and attune to
So, thinking, believing and feeling more confident will change your internal state, which should (hypothetically) attract more people and things into your life to match (and further bolster) your new confidence frequency.
So, Can Manifestation Work for Confidence?
It has for me.
I use visualization in a lot of areas of my life — from creativity to personal health. And honestly, this stuff does work.
In the simplest form, I feel the success or result of things before I ever receive them. I live in that future state — emotionally — before it ever materializes physically.
This changes my mood and my beliefs. It alters my habits and my routines.
You create your future by default. You can use your mind to trick your body and your behaviors into manifesting something.
In theory, manifestation can work for anything — including confidence.
It’s more about intention, emotion and an unwavering belief in it actually working.
But I recently discovered a new strategy, inspired by Richard Gordon — so be sure to read the last tip where I share that!
How to Manifest Confidence (8 moves)
1. Clarity
Your confidence goals
Confidence is general, which doesn’t help us.
There are so many different types and nuances to it. So my first tip is to get ultra clear on what type of confidence you’d like to manifest.
For example, maybe you’d like to become more creatively confident.
Or maybe you’d like to boost your social confidence or get comfortable talking in front of a camera in public so you can pursue your vlogging dreams.
Whatever the case, your strategy for manifesting will depend on your specific goals.
So get super clear on what you want (and why).
2. Awareness
Your current beliefs
Where are you in your confidence journey?
What’s your starting point and what are you current beliefs?
In step one, you defined where you’d like to end up (and why). So now you need to define where you’re starting.
Consider these questions:
What are your current beliefs about yourself and your confidence?
Why do you have them?
Are they helping you or limiting you?
Real talk, do you believe you can become confident? Why or why not?
Do you believe that manifestation is real and can work? How and why?
Awareness of your confidence and manifestation beliefs will be crucial for your growth. At this point, we’re setting things up and pouring a super solid foundation.
But just remember that it’s totally normal if struggle with confidence. So if you need a little extra help (beyond this blog), try chatting with a professional. There are lots of amazing online platforms these days!
3. Building
Your future alter ego
I love the idea of creating and using a persona.
For me, it’s creative play and a great first step to embodying a new life.
So let’s create an alter ego — in as much detail as possible.
This new persona will represent the ideal future version of your confident self.
And the cool part is that this new version of you already exists (in some timeline). You are simply tapping into that life and embodying that personality.
Remember, future you is you. There’s just a space of time and work in between.
So let’s create your alter ego. Try writing down these details:
How do you speak and what language does future you use?
How do you dress and carry yourself?
How about your lifestyle, friends and career?
Describe the smells, colors and sounds of your future life
What does your environment look like?
What are the emotions of your future confident self?
4. Application
Your future confidence emotions
Manifestation is all about embodying the emotions of your future vision right now.
Even if you’re not confident yet, you must start embodying that life emotionally.
With enough practice, you’ll change your brain, habits and beliefs about yourself (on an emotional level).
This is powerful stuff – but it just takes some time and practice.
So be patient with yourself and continue showing up everyday.
It’s important to not feel bad when you slip and lose sight or feeling of your confident emotions. This is normal.
The goal is to recognize when this happens and simply readjust.
Over time, you will embody these emotions on a more subconscious level.

5. Visualization
Using meditation
We can’t talk about manifestation without also talking about visualization.
These two go hand in hand.
So a great strategy for manifesting confidence is to use the power of visualization.
I love this method — and so do many athletes, artists and all sorts of leaders and successful people.
Because it works.
There’s real science to back up the power of your mind, visualization and mental practice.
So grab your confidence emotions and goals and create a daily meditation routine to practice them.
See yourself (down to every last detail) embodying a new confident version of yourself.
Feel it as if it’s already happening.
This is visualization — and it works.

6. Self Talk
Manifesting confidence with affirmations
Full disclosure, I don’t do affirmations. I find other strategies work better for me.
But I know they do work for many people, so I think it’s important to mention here.
So if you’re the type of person who feels a strong benefit from using affirmative self-talk, then trying some self-confidence statements is definitely worth a try.
I do think this type of work can subtly rewire your brain and thinking over time.
The more you say something (and believe it), the more it becomes “hard-wired” into your psyche.
There are many examples of confidence affirmations, but here’s my favorite one:
7. Never Forget
Keep things top of mind
Life gets busy and old habits stick around.
So doing things to keep your confidence manifestation top of mind is a smart move.
Here’s my favorite way to never forget:
Write down your manifestation goal on a piece of paper
Tape that piece of paper underneath your desk chair (or something similar)
That’s it. But this is a powerful strategy.
The paper is out of sight, but it’s in a really odd place – so it’s far from out of mind.
Every time you sit down, you’ll consciously (and subconsciously) think about it and remember your manifestation.
8. Work
Manifestation still requires doing stuff
We can’t just sit around visualizing all day and expect everything to come.
While you may have some stuff happen (especially internally), going out and actually practicing your confidence is key.
It’s like hitting the gym.
For example, there’s research that shows visualization alone can literally grow your muscles (no weight training involved).
But actually hitting the gym is more effective.
And combining the two together? Well, you’re unstoppable!
So the point is this: visualize and manifest, but also practice becoming confident.
You can do this by putting yourself in more situations that require confidence and doing more things that build it.
Start small, and expand slowly. Push yourself more and more outside of your comfort zones.
One day, you’ll look back and be surprised at how far you’ve come.
Bonus (feel loved by your future)
I was recently watching an interview with Richard Gordon (the dude behind Quantum Touch). And he said something that shook my foundation around manifestation. So much so that I instantly order his book and read it in nearly one sitting.
Here’s the main takeaway:
Don’t try to love your future, feel loved by your future. Here’s how:
Imagine your future (confident, or whatever)
Imagine your future self looking at your current self
Imagine your future self sending love to your present self
Feel this
Allow your future self to show you the secrets and emotions you need
As an extra hack, I like to practice by giving love to my past (regrets, embarrassing moments, trauma, etc.). By getting into the habit of loving your past, your future self will naturally love your present.
And with that, happy manifesting!
