Part-time nomading just means you spend part of the year traveling and the other parts of the year working part-time jobs to save for your next adventure.
Or, you create a hyper-flexible lifestyle (working for yourself) so you can take as many vacations and trips as you’d like, whenever you want, wherever you want and for as long as you want.
Ahhh, the dream.
This lifestyle can be tricky though, especially if you constantly need to find part-time work or short-term jobs. So if you have any existing connections (like flexible family or friends with a business), that would help a lot.
But then again, the gig economy is still going strong. You can find a lot of flexible side gigs, like driving for Uber or Lyft, delivering groceries, selling things on ebay and online marketplaces, garage sailing, and picking up odd jobs around your town (or online).
Requirements for part-time nomading:
A flexible life and mindset
A semi-reliable plan for flexible short-term work
A place to stay in your home country for short (often random) periods of time
Tips for part-time nomading:
You don’t need to always go international
Don’t save just enough—save more than enough
Find flexible jobs or contacts who understand your part-time work style
Consider temp agencies or positions with short-term contracts
Be open to employers about your travel plans (you could burn bridge or get a flaky reputation, especially if you live in a smaller town)
